The Vivo V1 is a cleaned-up, possibly more affordable, successor to the Vivo Enduro. It uses an identical rubber boot.
Also like all of the Vivo derailleurs, it has no cable adjuster, but does have an grub screw to adjust the strength of the spring in the parallelogram. Some of its other features include:
- the cable feeds in from the rear of the derailleur.
- unlike Vivo Enduro, the cable clamp is a standard Allen bolt with a shaped washer. The cable inner wire lies in a channel in the outer parallelogram plate, rather than feeding through a hole.
- the adjustment bolt at the b-pivot is a Allen headed grub screw.
- the pulley wheels are Tacx sealed bearing units with 11 teeth.
- The parallelogram pivots are not removable, but are rivetted in.
- the whole feel is less high-end, using more castings and with little sign of CNC machining.
This example is stippled silver with a particularly alluring red boot and professionally painted logos.
