This is a patent for an embarrassingly crude derailleur design controlled by an embarrassingly basic and unrefined lever and cable set up. It seems unworthy of Cyclo, with its tradition of properly engineered, un-burstable touring derailleurs.
Like Tullio Campagnolo some decades later, Albert Raimond seems to have struggled to find an elegant solution to the problem of designing a good, cheap, derailleur, with all the compromises that entails.
