Postbus 51 was the legendary address by which you could contact the government of the Netherlands. It evolved into the name of the Dutch public information office and made a large number of cringe inducing films involving men with unfeasable sideburns advising small children on how to safely cross a road, women with boufant hairdos advising other women with boufant hairdos on how to avoid pick-pockets, and, crucially, Gerrie Knetemann advising everyone on how to get help with their tax returns.
