One would expect Mexico to have some history of producing derailleurs. It is a large, middle income, country with a long history of 'interesting' interventionist trade and industrial policies.

However, I have only been able to detect one indigenous derailleur brand - and I only detected that recently with the generous help of Mexican correspondents. This brand is Mendoza, produced by an eponymous firearms manufacturer based near Mexico City.
