In the 1970s, when this application was filed, Zeus used to lay claim to a long and rich history going back well before the Second World War. On the evidence of this trademark, presumably based on information submitted by Zeus, the Alfa brand name was first used in 1947, a full seven years before the Zeus brand name was first used (see US Trademark # 984,854).

It also appears that Alfa products were first imported into the US in 1964.
