The 1931 St-Étienne Salon du Cycle was, as in previous years, dominated by Chemineau and Cyclo. But two new derailleur brands put in an appearance, Charvin and Claudius Jacquemard’s Idéal. There was also a notable surge of interest in front derailleurs.
