DISRAELI DOCUMENTS
Following on from the articles on the 1902 Concours de Bicyclettes de Tourisme, Monsieur A. Ballif now writes the first of four articles about the 1905 Concours de Bicyclettes de Voyage. Just like the 1902 Concours, the 1905 version was another of the crucial events in the history of the development of the bicycle as we know it.
This article is mainly concerned with laying out the rules. Many of these are interestingly modern - such as neutralised descents etc.. It also lists some of the competitors including Hirondelle, Peugeot, Raleigh and Terrot
The cycling tests themselves were held on the 13th and 14th of August 1905 - with the all important banquet held on the 15th.
