The Super JIC Tourisme is a bonnie wee derailleur. A genuinely commercially available, nicely engineered, twin pulley, parallelogram derailleur with aluminium knuckles. And all this in 1946, a good 4 years before the earliest Campagnolo Gran Sports.

It has its weaknesses. It is low-normal. It clamps onto the chainstay (which is not as modern as the Campagnolo). There is only one adjustment screw which is for the bottom gear position - top gear is a matter of blind faith. But still...

I have seen a small handful of different variants:

• The name cast into the p-knuckle can be 'JIC', 'Super JIC' or 'Super-Inax'.
• The chain pusher plate can be an extravagant single-sided blob-shaped item, or it can be semi-circular and double-sided.
