This is an OK example of a late Super Champion Super Mondial. Some of its features include:
It is a 3-speed model with, for the avoidance of doubt, '3 Vitesses' stamped on its outer pulley cage plate.
The hole for the dropout bolt is keyhole shaped to accept one of Super Champion's distinctive shaped dropout bolt and nut arrangements that allow a modicum of rotation.
The chain tension adjustment ring is made of some kind of white metal that oxidises to a dull grey.
The pulley cage is 47mm long.
The outer pulley cage plate is also made of some kind of white metal that oxidises to a dull grey.
The inner pulley cage plate is thin steel and is shaped so that the pulley bolt nuts are recessed.
The pulley bolts have domed heads and mount from the outside inwards.
Materials: largely steel, with a white metal outer pulley cage plate and chain tension adjustment disc, and an aluminium nut through which the toggle chain runs.
