I don’t have a SunTour 1977 catalogue - but I do have this one for the 1978 model year. Compared to my 1976 SunTour catalogue, much has changed:

• The whole SunTour Superbe range has appeared - their first complete groupset, including both road and track components.
• The SunTour Vx series has arrived, and the SunTour V series is totally absent (although it will reappear in the 1982 SunTour catalogue).
• The SunTour GT has moved on from the 1976 version, to its definitive design, with the cable clamp mounted on the parallelogram pivot pin.
• The SunTour Skitter has achieved its final form - with an allen bolt at the pulley cage pivot.
• The SunTour Love (1600) also receives its final modification - gaining an allen key hanger bolt.

All this, and SunTour even threw in a cover design with all the restrained subtlety of the illuminated dance floor in Saturday Night Fever. Night fever, night feev-aaah-aaah, we know how to do it... sing along now!
