Sugino 75

Sugino 75 derailleur main image

Produced to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of Sugino in 1910, this derailleur was manufactured by SunTour. It was a cross between the SunTour Superbe (5300) and the SunTour Superbe Pro (5200) with a light garnish of anodising. Aside from this it had all the usual virtues of the Superbes of the time including sealed bearing pulley wheels and stainless steel pivot pins that you can remove with an allen key.

For me this is one of my favourite derailleurs of all time, and I think it looks much better in its Sugino colours, with the bronzed pulley cage, than it does as a SunTour.
