This beautiful, over-sized brochure celebrates the launch of the Santé transmission components (the rest of the groupset came later). It is a deluxe presentation with seven of the 12 pages devoted entirely to moody photography. The remaining 5 ‘working’ pages are copiously decorated with pastel coloured patterns that would have warmed Ettore Sottsass’s heart. Memphis meets rear mech.

But no amount of design genius can obscure the fact that orange lycra is a bad idea.
