DISRAELI GEARS
This is a very beautiful derailleur from Japan’s leading brand of the time. Its geometry is that of the Campagnolo Gran Sport (with the pulley cage pivot exactly between the two pulleys) rather than the geometry of the 1963 Campagnolo Record. It is made in pressed steel, but the pressings and the chrome have a distinct air of accuracy and quality. In terms of build quality, it is easily the equal of its European competitors.
The Sanko PA was used by the Japanese team at the Tokyo Olympics in 1964, an event of great significance for Japanese cycling.
