DISRAELI GEARS
I think that the M400, in its 10-speed, clutch-free, form (as shown here) was the first derailleur produced by S-Ride. It is a pretty decent product, if a little derivative of untold numbers of SRAM designs. It is accurately made and respectably finished. Decidedly mid-range rather than low-end.
I have never been that keen on SRAM's minimalist inner parallelogram plates. They seem to me to have no torsional stiffness. And I am not that enthusiastic about S-Ride's version either.
Finally I note that, at 298g this derailleur is no lightweight - but I could say that about any number of modern mid-range derailleurs.
