Phénix was a bicycle brand owned by a company called Boeuf et Deshayes based in the great city of Marseilles, France.

Marcel Boeuf, of Boeuf et Deshayes, filed a number of derailleur patents and registered designs for derailleurs in the late 1920s and early 1930s. I have been told (by a typically enthusiastic Marseillais) that at least some of these designs were produced and were also branded Phénix. How could I ever have doubted it?
