The picture of the derailleur in this advert is very indistinct - but my guess is that some details of the featured design include:

• The word on the outer plate is ‘Shimano’ rather than ‘Sportsman’.
• The pulley cage has lost its, early 1965, distinctive, Ninja, points.
• The pulley cage pivot is offset from the line between the centres of the pulleys.

These are features of a late 1965 Shimano 333.

It’s notable that a number of 1960s Japanese derailleur adverts feature women cycling. It’s also a truth universally acknowledged that tartan is wretchedly under used in cycle clothing.
