He makes a heroic effort to justify microSHIFT's design in terms of functional benefits, cleverly avoiding the fraught subject of the need to avoid infringing the plethora of patents held by Shimano and SRAM. Some would say that the, somewhat frantic, patent policies of the bigger manufacturers are verging on the abusive - as for me, I could not possibly comment!
