The 2016 model year saw microSHIFT respond to the exploding 'one by' revolution by introducing mountain bike derailleurs that could handle maximum sprockets of 40T. They also upgraded their top end road derailleurs to 11 speed. In all, there were five new derailleurs:
- microSHIFT XCD (M78L) - a top end mountain bike model claimed to be able to handle a maximum sprocket of 40T (in 2017 a seemingly similar model, also called microSHIFT XCD (M78L), had a claimed maximum sprocket of 42T)
- microSHIFT XLE 11 (M61L) - a mid range mountain bike model able to handle a maximum sprocket of 40T
- microSHIFT XLE 11 (M61s) - a mid range model with a short cage
- microSHIFT Arsis 11 (R68S) - a top end 11 speed road model
- microSHIFT Centos 11 (R58S) - a mid range 11 speed road model available in black or white finish
