At the 1934 Championnat de lae Multipliée machines equipped with Cyclo derailleurs took the first two places in the solo event, but the first 8 places in the event for tandems. During the 1930s Cyclo was gradually displaced as the solo bike derailleur of choice but remained the undisputed king of tandem gears.
