There were 64 entries in the inaugural Championnat de la Polymultipliée, but only sixteen finishers. Of these sixteen, eight used 3 speed hubs, three used 2 speed hubs, three used dual-chain transmissions and only two used derailleurs - one a Boizot Tri-Direct and the other a Prével d’Arlay. There were 6 derailleur bikes at the start, but none of three Audouards finished and nor did the Matocq.
