I have a soft spot for 1970s Huret catalogues with their fiercely ‘modern’ Huret logo in ghastly yellow, their curiously irrelevant maps of the Burgundy region and, of course, the ever-present tricolore.
Key features of this 1976 edition might include:
- The treatment of the Jubilee is a masterclass in Huret obfuscation. The drawing of the short cage model shows a 1972 model with a short parallelogram spring and a pulley cage with two struts at the tension pulley. The parts explosion shows a mid-period model of some sort with a long parallelogram spring and a pulley cage with three struts at the tension pulley. The drawing of the long cage model again shows a 1972 model with a short parallelogram spring while the parts explosion shows a later model with a long parallelogram spring. God help us.
