Unfortunately this 1987 news flash from Gipiemme does not contain any references to derailleurs. However it does give some indication of the various groupset names, which could include:

• Special
• Cronosprint Bagarre
• Cronosprint Classic

The key point of interest is the first appearance of the 'Cronosprint Bagarre' name. What exactly 'Bagarre' means is lost on me - perhaps an Italian speaker, conversant with 1980s marketing patois, can shed some light on this!
