This booklet celebrates the fact that riders using Gipiemme products won four track events at the 1986 Worlds in Colorado Springs, USA. The victors were:

• Mario Gentili, in the amateur men's Motor Paced event.
• The Czechoslovakian team, in the amateur men's Team Pursuit.
• Our very own Tony Doyle, in the professional men's Individual Pursuit.
• The Czechoslovakian pair, in the amateur men's Tandem event.

Unfortunately, as these were track events, none of our dashing heroes were using a derailleur (although, on the road, the less successful Czech Time Trial Team probably were). Disc wheels were Gipiemme's big thing at the time. However, Gipiemme were not backwards in coming forwards, and, as you can see on scan 2, they changed the branding on their derailleurs to include the World Championship bands.
