DISRAELI DOCUMENTS
In the late 1930s Simplex had dominated the derailleur market with their simple single-pulley models (the Simplex Champion de France and Simplex Champion du Monde were typical examples). This 1940 patent describes Huret's response - a simple, steel, single-pulley derailleur. It's a pretty decent effort - straight-forward, strong and as effective as its competitors.
Unfortunately for Huret, by 1940, the world was at war.
