I believe that this patent describes the first derailleur that Huret ever manufactured. I have seen photos of real examples of this model and scans of adverts for it.
In these adverts it is described as having a total capacity of 5 teeth, and of being able to be used for 2, 3 and 4 speed systems, although this is dependent on the rider reversing the wheel. I suspect that this means it was really a two speed system.
The drawings on scan 4 appear to show that Huret considered a version with two pulley wheels. I have never seen any evidence for the existence of this in the metal, but it is an interesting detail.
