This patent, for the Super Champion Super Mondial, from January 1950 is curiously similar to Huret’s October 1949 patent covering the Huret Competition. There are detail differences, but it’s hard to see how these could justify issuing a patent.

Oscar Egg’s Super Champion brand, so dominant in the early 1930s, has, in the post-war period, clearly become a follower rather than a leader.
