Vision is a brand used by FSA for a range of high-end time-trial and triathlon products. I have included it as a separate brand because FSA are very careful to make sure that no FSA branding appears on the product.

The history of the brand may go something like this:

  • In 1995 VisionTech USA was founded by Peter Fraiman in Washington State, USA. The company made aero bars for triathletes and time triallists.
  • In 2003 FSA, which is owned by Tien Hsin Industries of Taiwan, acquired VisionTech and continued with the VisionTech products.
  • Gradually the VisionTech brand morphed into the Vision brand, and the VisionTech handlebar line expanded to become an extensive range of triathlon and time trial components, including a full groupset.

For derailleur enthusiasts, the key Vision groupset is called Metron and includes a slightly bizarre 'aerodynamic' Vision Metron rear derailleur. This started life, possibly in 2013, as a colourfully styled 10 speed. In 2014, or possibly 2015, it became an 11 speed, and, possibly in 2017, it was restyled in a more stealthy looking black livery.
