Sensah is a mysterious brand. Despite its attractive and modern web site, it is extremely difficult to find any information about the company behind it.

I believe that the story of Sensah (and possibly LTWOO and S-Ride) may go something like this:

• SRAM had a long standing factory in Guangzhou (Canton), China. Guangzhou is in the Pearl River delta in southern China.
• In 2013 SRAM opened a brand spanking new factory in Kunshan, near Shanghai, 750 miles away. Shortly afterwards SRAM closed its Guangzhou factory and transferred its activities to Kunshan.
• This left a slew of talented, knowledgeable, experienced, Chinese, ex-SRAM-empoyees in the Guangzhou area.
• From this group three new companies emerged, LTWOO, Sensah and S-Ride, all based closed to each other.

Here is everything else that I know about the brand:

• The Sensah range includes a serious, coherent and growing collection of high quality derailleurs that, in my experience, work well.
• These derailleurs genuinely exist and available through a number of outlets in China, including all the usual suspects, like Aliexpress.
• I first became aware of the brand in 2015.
• The company name is shown on its web site as Sensah Bicycle Components Co. Ltd.. I can find nothing anywhere about this company. I have found a Taiwanese patent application dating from 2014 which was applied for by Sensah Bicycle Components Co. Ltd.. This application refers to a matching 2014 Chinese patent application that lists the same inventor but the applicant is shown as Guangdong Shunde Shuntai Bicycle Parts Co. Ltd.. This indicates that Sensah may have been founded, or renamed, in, or around, 2014 and that it may be based in Shunde, Guangdong, China.
