I believe that the story of S-Ride (and possibly LTWOO and Sensah) may go something like this:

  • SRAM had a long standing factory in Guangzhou (Canton), China. Guangzhou is in the Pearl River delta in southern China.
  • In 2013 SRAM opened a brand spanking new factory in Kunshan, near Shanghai, 750 miles away. Shortly afterwards SRAM closed its Guangzhou factory and transferred its activities to Kunshan.
  • This left a slew of talented, knowledgeable, experienced, Chinese, ex-SRAM-empoyees in the Guangzhou area.
  • From this group three new companies emerged, LTWOO, Sensah and S-Ride, all based closed to each other.

It's possible that S-Ride is the most mass-market, value-for-money focussed of the three.
