Le Vie d'Italia

Le Vie d'Italia was a monthly illustrated magazine published by the Touring Club Italiano. As such it is the Italian cousin of The C.T.C. Gazette and the T.C.F. Revue Mensuelle. It was published from 1917 to 1968, with a brief break from 1943 to 1945 'due to bombing'.

In 1937 the Fascist government in Italy campaigned against the use of non-Italian words like 'Touring Club' so the organisation was renamed 'Consociazione Turistica Italiana'. What is it with pompous men of action and language? Perhaps you could read the house magazine of the Consociazione Turistica Italiana while munching on some Freedom Fries. Who knows, the French may even have a word for 'entrepreneur'...
