Ingrid is a brand that appears to be owned by Mosconi SRL, a company based in Fossombrone, Italy, not far from Ancona and the Most Serene Republic of San Marino. Mosconi SRL is run by Ivan Mosconi and its main business seems to be making high-end electronic audio equipment of a sort that I can't even begin to understand.
Ingrid seems to be a CNC machine shop manufacturing rather arty cranks, chainrings and cassette clusters. The first evidence that I could find of the existence of the Ingrid brand dates from 2016, but the phrase 'since 1985' does keep appearing. Fnally, it is not clear whether the name 'Ingrid' is a reorganisation of the word 'riding' or, as some have cheekily suggested, the name of Ivan Mosconi's Swedish au pair.
In 2018 Ingrid started to post taster images on Instagram and Facebook featuring its own distinctive derailleur. On the one hand this was a futuristic cocktail of CNC machining and 3D printing, while on the other hand it was a, slightly retro, strongly constructed mechanical derailleur operated by a conventional Bowden cable.
