Stefano Cavanna was a bicycle builder based in Milano, Italy. In the years following the Second World War, Stefano Cavanna developed a derailleur that the combined a chain tensioning arm (reminiscent of Super Champion) with a rod operated system (reminiscent of Campagnolo) and chain shifting flippers (reminiscent of Vittoria).

The Museo Del Ciclismo next door to the Madonna del Ghisallo, the chapel at the top of the famous climb, contains a rather fine 1947 Cavanna bicycle with this derailleur, fitted on a lugless aluminium frame.
