Model year 2004 saw a lot of changes to Campagnolo's rear derailleurs:
- Record and Chorus got a makeover.
- Centaur got a makeover, was available in 3 cage lengths (with a longer cage option added) and in two finishes, silver and Century Grey.
- Veloce was offered in 10-speed in 3 cage lengths. 9-speed Veloce was retained and a third, longer, cage length was offered.
- Mirage got a makeover and was available in 3 cage lengths (with a longer cage option added).
- Xenon had a third, longer, cage length added.
So I believe that the rear derailleur range might have been as follows:
10-speed
- Campagnolo Record (RD4-REXS)*
- Campagnolo Record (RD4-REXM)*
- Campagnolo Record (RD4-REXL)*

* New for model year 2004
From 2000 to 2003 inclusive the part numbers were made up as follows:
- 'RD' for 'rear derailleur' - which was not particularly Italian.
- 2 Numbers to indicate the year of introduction. So, for example, '02' indicated 2002.
- A dash for good measure
- Two letters that indicated the model/group name. So, for example, 'RE' meant Record.
- One number to indicate whether the derailleur was designed for a double chainset ('2') or a triple chainset ('3').
- Two numbers to indicate the number of speeds. So '09' for 9-speed and '10' for 10-speed.
- Some, slightly random, optional, letters, such as 'L' or 'LL' that indicated cage length.
Just to keep it interesting, from 2004 onwards the part numbers were made up as follows:
- 'RD' for 'rear derailleur'.
- Numbers to indicate the year of introduction. So, for example, '4' indicated 2004.
- A dash for good measure
- Two letters that indicated the model/group name. So, for example, 'RE' meant Record.
- Some, slightly random, optional, letters that indicated colour options. So, for example, 'G' meant Century Grey.
- A character to indicate the number of speeds. So '9' for 9-speed and 'X' for 10-speed.
- A letter to indicate cage length. So 'S' for short, 'M' for medium and 'L' for long - all of which was curiously not in Italian.
