This 16 minute movie, coincidentally shot in 16mm, can be viewed on Vimeo.com. It chronicles a ‘Cyclists’ Special’ rail excursion from London to Rugby, arranged by British Rail and the Cyclists’ Touring Club (CTC).

Included is some discussion of the costly nature of touring bikes with 10 speed derailleur gears, of the danger of suffering from ‘the bonk’ and of the fact that on CTC runs there is no need to ‘split your breeks’ to keep up.

A jolly H. H. England makes a cameo appearance.
