If Tiger was a teenager in 1971 he is probably now either the tanned and toned CEO of a Fortune 500 company, or a 30 stone morbidly obese couch potato. Not that I have a stereotypical view of suburban Americans or anything...

Still, Tiger probably enjoyed his Huret Allvit derailleur - although the top tube mounted levers look a little odd to the modern eye. More surprising, to me, is that Huffy were still using the expensive European Huret Allvit in 1971. I would have expected them to have succumbed to the low-priced charms of the Shimano Eagle by then.

Viewed from today’s world, the slogan “every kid deserves a Huffy at least once in his life” is confusingly gender specific.
