A moderately careful search of the online records of Instituto Nacional de la Propriedad Industrial I República Argentina yields seven possibly relevant trademark events for 'Zotta:
- Sometime around 1970 Pascual Zotta, Enrique Zotta and Rodolfo Roque, of Buenos Aires, registered trademark # 685,786 for the word 'Zotta' covering category 12 products (vehicles including bicycles). Unfortunately this seems to be too ancient for a digital record to exist.
- In November 1980 Pascual Zotta, Enrique Zotta and Rodolfo Roque, of Buenos Aires, registered a trademark for the word 'Zotta' covering category 12 products (vehicles including bicycles). This appears to be a renewal of Trademark # 685,786.
- Mysteriously, in January 1982 Pascual Zotta, Enrique Zotta and Rodolfo Roque appear to have applied again for a trademark for the word 'Zotta' covering category 12 products (vehicles including bicycles). This application was refused.
- Then, also mysteriously and also in January 1982, Pascual Zotta, Enrique Zotta and Rodolfo Roque successfully registered a trademark for the word 'Zotta' covering category 12 products (but in this case restricted to bicycles only). This appears to be an initial application not a renewal.
- In November 1998 Enrique Zotta, acting alone, successfully applied to trademark the word 'Zotta' covering category 12 products (vehicles including bicycles). This appears to be an initial application not a renewal.
- In April 2013 Enrique Zotta, now of Benito Juarez, Argentina, successfully applied to trademark 'Zotta' for category 12 products (vehicles including bicycles). This application was refused.
- In January 2020 Enrique Zotta, again of Benito Juarez, Argentina, successfully applied to trademark a racy Zotta logo for category 12 products (vehicles including bicycles). This appears to be an initial application not a renewal.
One might guess, from all this, that Zotta has been active from at least 1970 to today.
