This rather uninteresting Phillips patent shows a proposed drop-out with integral mounting for a derailleur. It does, however, demonstate that, in December 1953, Phillips had either not yet acquired Resilion, or had not yet transferred its derailleur manufacturing business to the Resilion brand.
