By April 1905 Terrot were offering an astonishing range of multi-geared bicycles including:

  • A three speed derailleur bicycle. This was still not explicitly described as the Terrot Modèle H, but I continue to believe that that, or a prototype of it, was what it was.
  • A two speed retro-direct bicycle in which you engaged a high gear when pedalling forward and a low gear when pedalling backwards.
  • A four speed retro-direct bicycle. I believe this combined Terrot’s Rétro-directe mechanism with Terrot’s own two speed hub gear, to give two ratios when pedalling forward and two other ratios when pedalling backwards.
  • A bicycle with the ‘new’ three speed hub gear. I believe that this was the newly released Sturmey-Archer hub gear.
  • A bicycle with a two speed hub gear. I believe that this was Terrot’s own hub gear.
  • The Terrot TCF award winning bicycles featuring transmissions on each side of the frame, and a clutch to control which side was engaged. These were offered in 2, 3 and 4 speed variants.
  • The lever driven bicycle using the Svéa system - which became a long-running Terrot favourite.
  • Two and four speed retro-direct bicycles with women’s frames.
  • Two and three speed hub geared bicycles with women’s frames.
