DISRAELI GEARS

Super-Inax Sport

Super-Inax Sport derailleur main image

This derailleur was amazingly innovative. It is a proper parallelogram design, mounting on the drop out, with a low gear stop screw and extensive use of aluminium. With all this technology it came on to the market 5 years before Campagnolo’s Gran Sport.

Why is it a forgotten irrelevance? Probably because it was a single pulley design - and so doomed to uselessness.

The Super-Inax Sport is exceedingly similar to the Super JIC Course in this collection, with the crucial difference that the Super-Inax Sport is aluminium and the Super JIC Course is bronze. They are so similar that I have assumed that they came from the same manufacturer.
