Sachs-Huret - sticker

Sachs-Huret - sticker main image

When Sachs bought Huret, cyclists feared that Sachs would sacrifice Huret's idiosyncratic Gallic flair on the altar of much-needed Teutonic discipline.

This sticker says it all. No trace of the Tricoleur's red, white or blue (often lavishly deployed by Huret), but plenty of gold and black borrowed from the Bundesdienstflagge. No flamboyant sci-fi serifs or 'bent wire' lettering, but an austere font that would not look out of place on the door of a hospital colonoscopy department. And then there is the word 'Sachs' deliberately placed above, and not beside, the word 'Huret'.
