This patent has some similarities to French patent # 1,087,957 in that both appear to be the work of Marcello Gambato and both show a derailleur with only one parallelogram plate. But the passage of 30 years between the two patents have not made it any easier to work out what they are all about.

however, this patent does show that Gian Robert was still alive and kicking in 1982.
