DISRAELI GEARS
Not content to copy Huret’s designs (in this case the horrific Allvit), Excel decided to also copy Huret’s bizarre marketing ploy of decorating their derailleurs with gratuitous pieces of plastic. The Excel Dynamic gained a, very ‘modern’, clip-on piece of black plastic, a slightly longer high gear adjustment screw (to poke through the hole in the plastic) and the word ‘SyncroMesh’ which presumably refers to the sprung ‘cable-saver’ mechanism at the cable clamp.
I think this is a later version, with the same hanger plate as the Dynamic II in this collection.
