A typical early 1970s Simplex catalogue - this time in German. A change is as good as a rest (or possibly ein Wechsel ist so gut wie eine Pause).
I particularly note:
The presence of the Simplex Mini Prestige (page 8) - a derailleur for ‘mini-folding’ bikes and children’s bikes.
The ‘Click-Shift’ indexed levers and the ‘Stick-Shift’, oh-so-cool, low-rider, levers on Page 10
The presence of touring equipment, like 28/50 chainring sets (page 14) - but the total absence of long cage derailleurs. Simplex really did believe that the standard Simplex Prestige was a viable touring derailleur.
The strange and interesting information about the company’s capital structure on the rear cover.
