This is the first of Charles Gautherot's patents for the design of the pulley wheels. It describes a pulley wheel that is split into two disc-like halves. These halves are joined together with small machine screws. As with his other patent for pulley wheels, this is all very cunning - but to what purpose?

I don't think that this exact design ever made it into production.
