Having mastered the art of producing in aluminium with the 2000 series, I think Zeus introduced this Criterium with aluminium parallelogram and pulley cage plates. Ideal for drilling with a thousand tiny holes.

I also believe that the drilling on this derailleur is Zeus’s work, not that of an enthusastic owner, and I find the overall effect is the most pleasing of all Zeus derailleurs of the 1960’s and 1970’s.

However, for all the cost in broken drill bits, the reduction in weight over the old Criterium was only 5g.
