DISRAELI GEARS
Unknown Brazilian Centauros
This is a flamboyant little number, with its logo dashed off in extravagant cursive script and its rear knuckle sporting a jaunty angle.
Mechanically it is partly Shimano (see the cable clamp and adjustment screw placing) and partly not - it has only one sprung pivot. Its cable outer stop and the cut-out at the tension pulley end of the pulley cage recall those of the Cristim.
I have searched high and low for any reference to a Centauros derailleur - and found nothing. The logo indicates that Centauros is a registered trade mark - but I don’t think the Brazilian Trade Mark data is available online (yet).
