This article covers the 1902 Stanley Show and National Show, both held in London in November of that year.

The article makes a brief mention of the Whippet New Protean derailleur gear system. However, it also records the first appearance of Raleigh’s new Sturmey-Archer three speed hub gear that went on to kill off the British derailleur systems of the time.

This page is taken from the Graces Guides web site where it appears in the section relating to the The Engineer magazine.
