This is a very confusing brand! My guess is that a single company based in Asnieres-sur-Seine, part of the Paris conurbation, produced a range of different aluminium derailleurs called ‘Super-Inax’, and a range of different bronze derailleurs called ‘Super J.I.C.’.

Frank Berto shows a Super-Inax advert that gives the address in Asnieres-sur-Seine. In addition to the derailleurs in this collection, Frank Berto also shows a 1946 Super JIC Tourisme, that is a twin pulley, chainstay mounting derailleur that uses a similar parallelogram mechanism, and a rather innovative 1938 Super-Inax derailleur.

The most notable feature of this ‘brand’ is that it was producing parallelogram derailleurs in some volume well before Tullio Campagnolo got in on the act.
