DISRAELI GEARS
DISRAELI GEARS
With a clever cable route, a relatively low price, exceedingly light weight and with a great shift, the SunTour Cyclone was a miracle. To this day the Shimano Dura-Ace is heavier than this Cyclone - proof of the simple purity of the single-sprung pivot slant parallelogram design.
The rear knuckle was redesigned again for this third style of SunTour Cyclone. The hanger bolt is not trapped, and is much longer, reminiscent of the SunTour Superbe. The geometry of the derailleur is also slightly changed - with a bigger drop between the hanger bolt and the parallelogram. Inevitably the weight rises again - to 185g.
