Date: 1975

The text (is it a poem? an incredibly incompetent haiku?) on the third page reads:

“In the old days, they had a long ride on horse-back for the wonderful world.  Today, we make a long cycling excursion to commune with nature. All that nature offers, such as flowers, butterflies, birds, squirrels and woods are our friends. A cycling world - it is a lovely world.”

This could, word for word, be a speech made by Fat Freddy to Freewheelin’ Franklin after they’d dropped some particularly heavy shit together. It brings back a lost memory of the immortal lines:

“Uh, to get back to the, uh, the warning that I've received you may take it with how many, however many grains of salt you wish, that the brown acid that is circulating around us is not specifically too good. Uh, it's suggested that you do stay away from that, course it's your own trip, so be my guest, but, uh, please be advised that there is a warning on that one, ok?”

Man, don’t you pine for the good ol’ days when nobody thought that Jerry Garcia was a flavour of ice cream! Good catalogue though - classic gears in abundance, and the first appearance of the sublime SunTour Cyclone (5902).
